Hamilton Children's Museum
This interactive exhibit is a kitchen theme. Kitchens are not just for cooking, inventions are made, good company is enjoyed and kitchen chemistry is always cooking. This exhibit encourages role play, problem solving and social interaction. Everyday, children will have the opportunity to experiment with Kitchen Chemistry using non-toxic items found in kitchen cupboards. Other activities include games, stories, recycling games and just play!

Exhibit: From The Ground Up
Hamilton Children's Museum
What comes out of the ground tells us a-lot about who we are and about the world around us. This interactive hands-on exhibit will feature an archaeological dig, themes in geology (that's rocks and minerals) and the story of Mary Anning, famous fossil hunter. Discover interactive artifacts, use scientific equipment and explore!

A Week Of March Break Madness

During March Break, Art and Science live side by side. Search for artifacts in our archaeology dig, whip up good times in Kitchen Works and enjoy puzzles in the Brain Teaser gallery. Experiment with Kitchen Chemistry using household ingredients; investigate acids and bases and electricity; create a masterpiece in the Art Centre. Windowsill Gardening

There is something blooming at the Hamilton Children's Museum. Plant your own seeds and take them home, create a garden decoration and investigate a variety plants in the museum's container garden. If you feel really adventurous, wander over to the Tropical House in Gage Park and begin your scavenger hunt for plants and wildlife (birds, turtles and fish). The Tropical House is open to the public 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday and on the weekends 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please note that during busy times, there may be a short, outdoor wait for admittance to this popular museum.
